TEETH & TONGUE AT SHADOW ELECTRIC

I finally got around to listening to the new Teeth & Tongue record proper, played it three times back to back, read the lyrics in the book and everything. Except for one lame song (can you guess which?) I give it two thumbs up. I love Jess Cornelius' singing and I love her songs. They sometimes take a few listen, but they seep right in...

They playing a gig at shadow electric this friday. you gotta rsvp to some jeans brand if you wanna go, but it's free!

SLOW GRIND FEVER MIX #13 by Richie1250, Pierre Baroni & Miss Monica

The last Saturday of every month is SLOW GRIND FEVER, Melbourne's only slow dance party. We play the the slowest, spookiest, sweetest, swinginest old records we can find, and people dance real slow in a haze of smoke and dim red light. It's a good time.

This month we are most pleased to have special guest DJ Monica Luppi jetting down from Sydney to play at Slow Grind Fever. Monica is a recently immigrated Italian, fevered r'n'b record collecting nut and slow dancing enthusiast, which makes her the perfect guest for Slow Grind Fever. Let's show her a good time.

EMPAT LIMA ART PARTY

EMPAT LIMA ARE STRADDLING THE COSMOS. YOU SHOULD GO TO THIS PARTY THEY ARE PUTTING ON:

We are putting on a big night full of eclectic goodness. Bands, performances, installations and projections will fill the space with colour.

It will be a celebration and an endeavour to raise some money to cover the cost of our tour to Indonesia in June where we will also be launching our web-hub for Australian and Indonesian female artists.

Performances from..............

PENNY MOYE & TOBY BRODEL
Installation and performance using photosensitive synthesizers and colour generators. A improvised shadow-dream dance-drama, sampling Gamelan Gong Kebyar and rousing the beating Ombak, the shimmering sound created between male and female instruments of the gamelan.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
HABITS
R&B ghouls wail over cold and spacious beats. Punk banshee shrieks lyrics about tinnies and demons.
Dark pop which will make you feel like a teen emo again but also make you want to dance.
http://hbts.bandcamp.com/

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
THE BURNT SAUSAGES
A sizzlin’ new band with a hot new type of music - BBQ Punk.
https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Burnt-Sausages/1398770490371390?fref=ts

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
EMPAT LIMA
With sounds that evoke the hot perfumed air of Jakarta before rain and the noisy pink neon excitement of Osaka these girls bring a fresh upbeat garage pop style to the scene.
