The mysterious Archer with be coming to play his mumbled old-time country blues at about 5:45 before his rare live appearance at The Bendigo, and the berobed manly men of barbarion will be coming in about 6:30 to play some ridiculous 80's metal and go ARRRRRR before their film clip launch at the tote on satdee

In between I will play syl johnson, roosevelt sykes, the animals, iron curtain, and other stuff too...

Brides O' Christ putting on a gig at The Bendigo Hotel (on johnston street, the next pub down from the tote toward hoddle) on friday. We has Archer, the Cuckoos and Sambrose Automobile coming down to support, and I is gonna dress the stage up with lotsa lights and bamboo trees and other crap. Should be a ripper! Archer opens at 830, we on at 1120...

I heard Zach Rampage (Rampage, 1-3 fridays on PBS) play this a while back and it blew my mind. The lyrics and delivery are a perfect illustration of that combination of hardcore and silliness that made this era so fresh...
