BOILING CAULDRONS OVERFLOWING

I have started actively listening to classical music for the first time in my life. It certainly puts some images in your head. I wrote this one while listening to "Mazeppa" by Franz Liszt...

BOILING CAULDRONS OVERFLOWING
Boiling cauldrons overflowing, great crashing cymbals, mice scattering everyone. terror struck faces, armour covered giants striding purposefully through town, eagles circling overhead, a storm coming, impending doom, the army marching over the hillside, the gods getting angry, plots hatching, wicked winds a coming, raggedy carts coming down the road with them

POWERS OF TEN (Charles & Ray Eames, 1977)

My friend Jessie hipped me to this mind boggler last night. A breakdown of the relatively size of everything known, with a great electronic score from Elmer Bernstein. I assure you watching this will be 9 minutes well spent...

TELL OLD PHARAOH TO LET MY PEOPLE GO

Improvised old time vaudeville pharoah gags.

TELL OLD PHARAOH TO LET MY PEOPLE GO
"Tell old Pharaoh to let my people go"
"He's so old he can't hear it"
"Well turn up his hearing aid"
"He don't have no hearing aid no more, he dropped it in the toilet"
"Well write it down on a piece of paper for him"
"He can't read"
"Well draw a picture that'll give him the gist"
"He doesn't really do good at interpreting pictures"
"He's a fuckin egyptian! with all those heiroglyphics you telling me he can't interpret pictures?"
"He's a Pharaoh you know, they're all inbred, he has a hard time with a lot of things"
"Aw geez. We'll i'm just taking these goddamn people, to hell with him!"

that new kendrick lamarr record

Everybody was all about his first album and it didn't sound like nothing to me, so when everybody on the innanet was all about "you gotta hear this new kendrick album it's amaaaaaaaaaazing", I just thought "yeah, whatever, you guys says that about kanye and drake and all kinds of wack shit", but then Nature Girl made me listen to it, and it is in fact ROOLY ROOLY GOOD and I can't wait to listen to it some more. He's got all kinds of different flows and interesting lyrics and the music is mad Speakerboxxxx/The Love Below-esque and there's lots of jazz cats playing all over it and it's just really hype shit. So give it a listen however you listen to things! it's called "to pimp a butterfly"

Jemma & The Clifton Hillbillies - 'April's Fool'

This is a real nice bittersweet song and a cute video featuring the debut of Giovanni the chihuahua...

To get off this list, reply saying: Owing to concerns over violence in Baltimore, no fans were allowed to attend a scheduled baseball game at Camden Yards, at which the Baltimore Orioles beat the Chicago White Sox 8-2 in front of 45,971 empty seats. "This isn't the way," said Orioles first baseman Chris Davis, "you want to make history."
