THE TWILIGHT ZONE (1959)

Been watching the original series of The Twilight Zone for the first time. Amazing! The quality of script and direction in each episode is just sterling, comparable to great films of the time, and the voice overs by series creator Rod Serling are just to die for! And then at the end of each episode you actually get to see the voice! He's got some kind of weird lip thing and seeing him talk and that voice coming out of him just makes me quiver with delight...

Here's a classic episode in three parts (with a nice Serling outro at the end of part 3...)

  1. Richie, I've got a book, "The Twilight Zone Companion'which gives details and behind the scenes info on every episode. Really good.
It's a very addictive show -apart from the great stories, I love the look of it, the cmaerawork and the spooky tonal quality of the black and white.
I kinda had a crush on Rod Serling for a while there...
